    hi. I am sick with swine flu now. i suffered a lot. from extreme body aches, high fever, gas, tummy ache, headache, chills, coughing like a dog and no energy at all. you feel you have something serious!!

    The H1N1 virus shouldnt even really be called ‘Swine Flu’.
    In Canada we refer to it as ‘pandemic H1N1 influenza virus’.
    It was originally called Swine Flu because laboratory testing showed that some of the genes in this new virus were similar to influenza viruses that normally circulate in pigs (swine).

    What makes H1N1 ‘scary’ is that it contains a combination of genes from pigs (swine), bird (avian) and human influenza viruses that have never previously been detected in humans and swine.
