@threadysparrow What I think is that you are thinking negative about yourself, because what would of happen if the disorder ADHD wasn’t created. You will still act the same as how you are doing now. The only thing that will change is the way you think about yourself. Like I said before, ADHD doesn’t exist in other countries. There will always be people like us hyperactive and impulsive, but they won’t be recognize as people who have ADHD. They will probably be more accepted as regular people.

@cdcg19 you may have those qualities which makes you a great person. but this isnt everyone. this is you. this isnt me. and we both have ADHD

  3. threadysparrow says:

@cdcg19 it is not a super power. it inhibits our lives. calling it a gift is offensive to those who have experienced first hand the nature of the disorder

  4. threadysparrow says:

@cdcg19 it is arguable that they had ADHD in the first place, but it is a mistake fto put a causal relationship between their success and ADHD if they had it. its like saying ice cream sales are up when drownings are up. they have a correlational relationship just like the ADHD and success. but one doiesnt cause the other. MANY MANY MANY people with ADHD do not become successful because they simply cant do what society demands

  5. threadysparrow says:

@cdcg19 in other countries it is ADHD also. some underdeveloped countries dont understand mental health. developed countries have accepted the diagnosis. ADHD doesnt cause someone to be artistic or creative or sensitive. alot of people with ADHD have none of those qualities. i know alot of ADHD people and their personalities are all different. but the ADHD is not what causes those qualities

@threadysparrow by the way we in the U.S make it a disorder . In other countries these people are the most important people because of its innovative and creative gifts. Other countries call them holy.

here is the list of famous ADHD people.

  8. cdcg19 says:

@threadysparrow: actually it is a gift but people don’t see like that. They are gifted in intense creativity and innovation. Most of our pioneers and inventors had adhd or ADD . People like Einstein, thomas edison , benjamin franklin had ADHD and didn’t take any medicine for it. I have minor ADD and ADHD as a child and I like it because of what it offers me. I don’t need drugs to control my ass. I’am who I’am . At work I’m the important asset because of what I bring . I’m the innovator there.

  9. threadysparrow says:

@cdcg19 ADHD is not a gift. it is impossible to advocate for ADHD services for people while at the same time saying it is a gift. ADHD kids are not gifted because of the ADHD. it is their personality, not their disorder, that makes them that way. ADHD is not a gift in any way

  10. threadysparrow says:

@atomichead777 its opinions like that which delegitimize the seriousness of ADHD. you cant demand advocacy for people with ADHD while at the same time calling it a gift. im not attacking you. im trying to educate you on my disorder

  11. florencelovme says:

@atomichead777 Its not good when someone special waits for you to get online and you forget to do it because of it. I have argued with friends and family many times because they expect me to do something and I forget. Not fun.

  12. atomichead777 says:

i personally don’t find anything wrong with adhd
    i mean, think about it
a kid with a great use of creativity and imagination
now, if they’re in math class, of course they’re not gonna pay attention, cuz they’d be friggin bored, so i wudn’t be surprised if a kid is doodling a dragon or vampire or whatever in the middle of class

  13. sachalhernandez says:

i have come to see my sons ability as a gift. i will have to admit at first it scared me when at the age of 4 my friend was talking about the story of adam and eve, you know the whole talking snake thing. he was watching cartoons and turned around and stated that the probability of a talking snake was highly unlikely as snakes do not speak(his words). i was worried about him making friends in school . he said its fine mom i know how to act 7 when it counts

  14. MrMichaelJordan says:

I take it as a gift im not ashamed and im a kid not an adult

  15. blackreader19two says:

@Rainkissed15 in what way can it be a gift.

  16. ShadowxMaker says:

That is very true. If I’m interested in something I become a different person but, when I’m not I look lazy and dumb. It’s hard to manage school.

  17. SpeedVideoz says:

Yes the secret that helps me is always be in the mood no mater what…. In high school I skipped allot because of not being in the mood… For some reason.

  18. MrXSpeaks says:

don’t listen to this shallow tripe, I can tell it is BS just from reading the description. ADHD is not a learning disorder. It is a a biological variation in the human brain. ADHD kids can learn anything that they want, but the problem is they often don’t want anything that society wants, and do not fit any particular social mold.

  19. Rainkissed15 says:

ADHD is a gift and a curse. Key is balance…and I lost my keys.

  20. PartVIII says:

    ADHD is a gift.

  21. cdcg19 says:

I take ADHD as a gift. we tend to be faster than the regular person , but we are able to focus, only on thing that we are interested. The type focus is called hyper focus . we could focus more than the average person.
Now, I like fishing, not a lot people like fishing, how is it that I could stand there, and wait for a fish and not be bored as hell because I like it. I don’t need drugs. You just have to like what you do. when it come to careers you have to love the career.

  22. sawm666 says:

  23. bmain1 says:

  24. LostintheWandering says:

it’s probably just a nervous habit from talking on camera i noticed it in some of the other vids too

  25. ncfwhitetigress says:

No, it doesn’t. Or at least I seriously doubt it.
