I have ADHD, it is real. And it takes effort to conrtol. I am excelling in achademics and sports, i am proud to have ADHD. Many great american leaders had it, its not always a negative thing.
@sachalhernandez Just because someone hasn’t walked in your shoes doesn’t mean they can’t have a very good understanding of what a family goes through when a child has a behavioral disorder.
@sachalhernandez Agreed! I understand that some peoples issues may be considered more server but the in NO way gives a person the right to put other people down. One of my close friends has ADD and I can tell you that it has made her life hell. Shes 17 jummping from house to house because no one, including her parents, wants to deal with her with her disorder. Do not judge if you have not been through it with close family, friends or better yet yourself.
@mfrausto76 i was told all through my childhoood that i had add, but my parents insisted i was ok, and that my dad got through it on his own, and didnt need any meds. Also seeing as this diagnosis requires no scientific evidence (chemical levels and whatnot), i am not sure it is actually a disorder, but thats another debate. The point, I didnt need meds, and I find medication will only enforce his belief that there is something wrong with him. I know it’s hard, but work without pills
the criteria to find it in children may be faulty but it is real without a doubt. Ive experienced the troubles with it my entire life but im happy to say that due to modern medicine, i have near optimum control over my self. the symptoms are subtle to an outsider and the person may come across as just “spacey” or a daydreamer but the person living with it knows that his tendency to these characteristics is uncontrollable. In other words, unless you have a doctorate in the area, stfu.
I am not blaming the mom, but his teacher..I have..some metal problems too I doolled back in class too..but how stayed forces if not i WOULDNT have retained ant suff was taught to me when my teachers whined at me saying am not paying atteion..
Try “Schizophrenia: Living in Hell” or “Major Depressive Disorder: Death of Mind, Body and Soul”. Then you know you have some real f*cking problems. I WISH that was my only problem. I’d trade my depression for the worst ADHD in the world in order to be free from this awful, painful existence. I doubt hyperactivity and not being able to focus has resulted in suicide save only a handful of cases. Using the diagnostic criteria psychiatrists use today, you could easily label all children as ADHD.
I found out that I had ADHD when I was 17, 15 years ago. I didn’t really pay attention over the last 15 years that my life has been severely impacted by the symptoms. Over 4 years ago I have been doing a lot of research into the disorder to help myself. I have learned a lot of great information that I share with the world so they can learn too.
yes
if you have add/adhd it is extremely easier for you to concentrate on things that interest you, but not on things that you don’t like
therefor people with add/adhd tend to be very determined people

@911FANGS that describes the entire human population as whole…
It is way more than just being hyper. You can be hyper and not have ADHD, and… you can have ADHD and not be hyperactive.
no its real
i have adhd and my parents say that means that u get hyper but i think what it means on the video
Learn your facts
ADHD and ADD are made up
@Nonsaneness i know exactly what you mean, although i have both of those conditions. But I do see what you mean.
@911FANGS it is overdiagnosed…good luck in highschool.
